教材分析
| 本课主题为“The farm”,分为两部分。第一部分主要介绍一些学生熟悉的农场动物名称。第二部分通过故事“Never Ride a Pig in the Mud” 巩固第一部分所学知识,并使学生通过看、听、读、思考、讨论等过程进行知识的延伸及拓展。本次教学活动的设计侧重于故事的教学,使学生在掌握本课关键词汇的基础上读故事并针对故事进行谈论。

| 1、知识目标
| 复习掌握(能正确地听、说、读、写)以下动物名称: chicken, pig, duck, cow. 通过讲故事学习相关词汇:farm, field, mud, pond,要求学生能听懂、会说、识记这些词汇。

| 教师针对故事内容提出相关讨论问题,启发学生讨论故事中的角色和情节。通过课堂的师生互动过程,运用已有的语言知识进行交流与讨论,培养学生的语言表达及语言运用能力。促进学生的口语交际能力。

| Class Opening and review
| * Greeting:
Give the standard greeting to welcome students to English class.
* Sing a song:
Play the audio tape and sing the song “ How are you?”
* Free talk:
Talk about the weather and the animals on the farm. Ask some questions such as: How’s the weather today? What animals do you like? Do you like a pig?

Give the greeting to teacher and the others.
The students sing the song and do the actions.
The students talk about the weather and the animals on the farm.

以亲切的问候导入,进行简单的日常对话,给学生用英文交流的机会。师生同唱歌曲“How are you?”在歌声与活动中互相问候,使学生身心放松,师生关系更为融合,提高学生学习的积极性,为本次的英语教学活动提供了一个良好的开端。在“Free talk”中的讨论话题,为引入本课主题奠定基础。

2. The teacher asks some questions and leads a discussion about these animals.
Such as:
Show a cow.
Talk about it.
What color is it?
Do you like it?
Use the same way to show a pig, a chicken, a duck.And talk about them.
* Learn the new concepts of the story.

2.Show the pictures of the field,
say this word several times.
Show the pictures of mud, say the words.
Show the picture of pond. Introduce pond.

小学阶段学生的无意注意占主导地位,变化的形象的事物易引起学生注意,且有助于记忆。关键词汇部分以多媒体的形式呈现,并伴随各种动物的叫声,给学生直观、形象的认知,使学生产生浓厚的兴趣。
[设计意图]
在英语教学中,词汇的学习不应孤立地去机械记忆,而应把单词融入到语句中,给学生充分练习英语表达的机会。本课在使用多媒体课件复习关键词汇及学习新授词汇时,都有一些小小的谈论内容。不仅起到复习巩固的效果,而且拓展了知识,促进学生的口语交际能力。
本课在讲故事之前先学习相关词汇,帮助学生在下面的学习中理解故事内容。

| * Show the beginning of the story.
1. Tell the students that the story is about Jenny’s father when he was a little boy.
Ask the students to look at the picture and guess: What had happened? What is the main idea about the story?

利用多媒体展示故事的开头部分。针对图中的信息,教师进行相关提问,给学生以悬念,同时任务教学法的运用,使学生带着问题及好奇心来读故事。增强了学生的学习兴趣,同时提高了学习效率。

| *Play the audiotape.
Give the “ listen” command.

(Discuss the story
| *Use the multimedia to show the story and lead the discussion.
1.The multimedia shows: When
Jenny’s father was a little boy, he
lived on a farm.
Ask some questions about this part such as :Where was the boy? Who was the boy?
2. Show the second picture.
Point to the picture and talk about it.
Show the phrases: “too big,too small,just right”
3. Show the third and fourth pictures.
Guess what would happen?
4.Show the fifth part of the story.
5.Show the sixth part of the story.
The teacher asks some questions and leads the discussion.
(Questions: Did Jenny ride a pig in the mud?
Was Jenny si1ly?)
*Listen to the story again. Discuss the story in small groups. The teacher provides some questions such as:
Do you like the story? Can you ride a pig in the mud? Do you like to ride a pig in the mud? Are you silly?

随着多媒体的演示,故事一步步发展,教师通过不断提出问题吸引学生注意力。在看、听故事的过程中,不仅复习了本课的关键词汇,而且拓展了知识,锻炼了学生的听说能力及思维能力。
