Unit3 What are you doing for vacation?

第一课时 教学设计

大地中学  曾琳

设计的基本理念：根据新课标，培养学生自主、合作、探究精神、突出语言运用

能力培养的理念而设计。

一、教材分析

（一）教材的地位和作用

《新目标英语》教材有图文并茂、实用性强、词汇量大、注重交际、贴近生活等特点。

1、《新目标英语》教材的语言教学理念是：知识用于行动强调语言应用，培养“创新、实践能力”， 发展“学习策略”。 它采用任务型教学模式。教材中每一个单元都设计一个或几个与该单元话题有关的任务，让学生在完成任务的过程中，使用英语获取信息，用英语进行交流，培养运用英语解决实际问题的能力。

2、单元分析及教材处理：本课是新目标英语八年级上册第 3 单元，教材以What are you doing for vacation? 为中心话题，围绕着“假期计划、打算”展开，学习和运用 What are you doing for vacation ？ What is she \ he doing forvacation ? 来询问某人的假期打算，让学生学会合理的安排自己的时间。

（二）教学目标

根据《英语课程标准》关于总目标的具体描述，结合的第三单元的教材内容，我按语言知识、语言技能、情感态度、学习策略四个方面将本节课的内容细分：

1、语言知识 ：词汇 babysit, at home, visiting cousins , going to sports camp… 句型 What are you doing for vacation?

2、语言技能：听 能识别不同句式的语调，能听懂本课学习中的问题，做出较得体的回答。说 能在本课的任务型活动中作简单地交流。 读 能正确朗读本单元对话和句型。 写 能写出本节课所学习的单词和句型，能对句子作相应得替换。

3、情感目标：通过对自己日常习惯的描述，让学生制定出合理的作息时间，保持健康的身体。

4、学习策略：抓住用英语交际的机会，主动参与学习活动，善于和他人合作。

（三）教学重点及难点

教材重点：

（1）重点词语：babysit,at home, going to sports camp, going to the beach,on the 11 th , this weekend

（2）重点句型：What are you doing for vacation? I’m visiting my grandmother.

What is he doing for vacation?    He’s going camping.

When are you going?           I’m going on Monday.

When is he going?             He’s going on the 11 th .

二、学情分析

初二上学期的学生经过一年多的学习，有了一定的英语基础知识和听说能力，正逐渐向读、写过渡，同时，学生们对英语学习还保持着较浓厚的兴趣。经过一年的新课程理念的熏陶与实践，有了初步的自主、合作、探究、实践的能力。本单与的主题是谈论假期打算，可以采用活动教学法和听说法的学习策略，学习新词汇，掌 握重点句型，同 时能比较好的运用到实践中，做 到既能巩固所学知识，又能提高解决问题的能力及综合运用语言的能力。

三、教法渗透

1、教学设计思路与教材处理：《新目标英语》中的具体语言目标是通过各种各样的任务来实现的，学生需要运用具体而特定的行动来完成一定的交际任务。

2、教学原则：

（1）活动性原则 提倡学生主动参与，体验，交流，合作，探究等多种学习。

（2）合作性原则 以学生为主体，师生合作，生生合作，体现教与学的互动，交流。

（3）任务型原则

（4）情感性原则 激发学生学习英语的兴趣和始终保持良好的学习情绪。

3、教法运用：本课主要运用“任务型教学法”， 情景交际教学法。

四、教学过程：(Teaching Procedures)

StepⅠ Warmingup

T: I’ve a wonderful song, would you like to share it with me ?

（理念：课 前播放一首欢快的英文歌曲，渲 染课堂气氛，营 造英语学习氛围，使学生很快进入角）

T: Boys and girls, shall we begin our class now? What kind of activities do you like? Do you like camping?

（理念：用学生熟知的话题导入，能引起学生的共鸣，吸引学生主动参与，积极思索.）

Step Ⅱ.Ask and answer.

What are you doing for vacation? I’m going camping.

What is she doing for vacation? She’s visiting her grandparents.

What are they doing for vacation? They are going to the beach.

（理念：反复操练，复习以前所学过的动物名称，激起了学生的表现欲，活跃了课堂气氛）

StepⅢ. Listening

Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks on the blackboard.

Here are three person , listen and answer what are they doing for vacation?

（理念：用听力练习来培养学生整体获取信息的能力）

T: Now , listen to the tape and read after it and then answer the questions on the blackboard.

（理念：听录音并跟录音朗读，提高学生的模仿能力，培养学生读的能力，

符合循序渐进的原理，在跟读的同时，鼓励学生回答问题。）

Step Ⅳ Group work

Now read the dialogue. I’ll ask two students to read it. Who would like toread? OK. You two, please.

Good, sit down , please.

Now I’ll get you into small groups. Talk about your vacation plans. Use the given conversation as an example. Write down the vacation plans for all the people in your group.

（理念：学生以小组为单位，讨论自己的假期打算，充分体现新课程自主探

究、合作交流的学习方式，促使学生互相学习，互相帮助，发展合作精神。）

Step V. 2a and 2b

First ask students to look at the chart. There are three columns: who when and what questions.

We’ll hear a conversation. On the recording Hector, Susan and Molly are talking about what and when they’re doing for vacation.

Listen carefully and fill in the answers first under “what” then “when”.

Play the recording for the first time. Point out the sample. Hector is visiting his

cousins on Friday.

Step VI. Summary and Homework

This class we’ve done guided listening and writing exercises. And we’ve learnt grammar rules. Go out to camping with your family in your spare time. Learn to relax ourselves.

Today’s homework. Are you camping in this weekend? Please write down your plans for it.
